Holper’s Pest & Animal Solutions

Pioneers and experts of St. Louis area pest and animal control

When you meet Jeff Holper, Founder and President of Holper’s Pest & Animal Solutions for the first time, don’t be surprised if he looks familiar to you. That may be due to his frequent appearances as a professional pest and animal expert on every St Louis TV station over the years. In addition, he has served as a popular speaker at industry conventions and home and garden shows around the U.S.

He is nationally recognized as “The Mole Hunter.” He is a published author of a book on the topic and inventor of a device to trap moles. As many folks are aware, these subterranean animals can wreak havoc on yards and public spaces and are particularly challenging to trap, but that has changed thanks to Jeff’s invention.

About Holper’s Pest & Animal Solutions
Jeff was exploring his career options when happenstance came into the picture. “I have been so fortunate in being at the right place at the right time and meeting so many interesting, helpful people. It began as I was traveling and saw a sign selling honey -- I stopped and ended up buying three hives and learning about the Eastern Missouri Beekeepers Association,” he explains. “From that point, I started receiving requests to handle swarms in homes and businesses, which led to requests for pest and animal solutions.

He immersed himself in education, learning which chemicals have the correct properties, what are the most current green treatments, and all the best practices. That was 32 years ago and his education continues as more products become available. “Our customers recognize us as pioneers and experts of St. Louis area pest control,” Jeff reports. “We take the time to understand where, why, and how pests are entering your home or business so we can address the root of the problem and treat it in the most effective and efficient way.

“Each city, neighborhood, street, and home is unique. We apply hyper-local expertise to treat pests according to how they behave in your specific environment. For instance, even the nicest structures, such as in Kirkwood and Des Peres, can harbor annoying pests. Due to this area’s leafy surrounds, homes and businesses are often invaded by squirrels that damage wood joists, HVAC equipment, and more. Warm weather infestations of ants and Asian ladybugs are also common. If you notice a new pest problem, give us a call and we’ll eliminate the pests before they proliferate.”

“Holper’s has the Quality Pro certification from the National Pest Management Association. Achieving this certification requires adhering to strict guidelines of best practices. Fewer than three percent of all pest businesses qualify for this designation. We also follow the Missouri Department of Conservation guidelines. In addition, we’ve won the Angie’s List Super Service Award six times, most recently in 2016, and have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau.”

“We enjoy working with our customers and are proud of the trust they have placed in us. Many families and their relatives turn to us for service. We like to think of them as customers for generations because even after they are grown and have families of their own, they call us when they have a pest or animal problem.”

Helping Customers Emotionally Affected by Pests and Animals
“For many customers dealing with pests and animals in their homes can be emotionally difficult. They feel they and their home have been violated. Working together we can solve the problems quickly and make your house pest free and get the home that you love back to you. This is the reason we have ‘Solutions’ in our name – whatever the problem, we’re going to solve it!”

About Jeff Holper
Friends would likely not describe Jeff as the kind of guy who would stick his toe into the shallow end of the pool – rather, he would start laughing and take a running leap into the deep end. This observation is based on listening to his recounting his experiences in starting his own business – once he made the leap, he was totally immersed in making it successful. And succeed it has for 32 years. In fact, March 2017 marks the start of the company’s anniversary year.

Jeff is a Pattonville grad. He has two grown daughters and lives in Labadie. He enjoys the outdoors and his hobbies include hunting, woodworking, and photography.

He is enjoying his Kirkwood-Des Peres Area Chamber of Commerce membership. “This is an active chamber and I’m looking forward to getting to know as many members as possible. I believe in supporting fellow business members and so far have used Kirkwood Florist, Busy Bees Embroidery, and Arch Engraving. I attended the Gala and was impressed with this event and the fact that members care about each other.”
